FAQ
Clear answers for how discovery, booking flow, and payments fit together.
Deckbook sits between a generic bio link and a full custom site. These are the questions people usually ask before they browse, request, confirm, and pay.
1. Discover
Promoters browse public artist pages, compare proof, and filter by city, genre, and readiness.
2. Request and align
Booking requests start from the artist page so the enquiry stays attached to the actual context the buyer saw.
3. Confirm and pay
When the workflow is enabled, the thread can move into a clearer deal and payment timeline instead of scattered email follow-up.
Marketplace
Do promoters need an account?
No. Promoters can browse public artist pages, compare proof, and send booking requests without creating an account first.
Discovery
How does artist discovery work?
Promoters start in Discover, filter by city and genre, then open live pages to review media, proof, and booking readiness in one flow.
Pages
Can Deckbook replace a website or press kit link?
For many artists, yes. Deckbook is built for the page buyers actually open first, while a full custom site stays optional.
Plans
What changes on Free, Basic, and Pro?
Free keeps a live page public. Basic is the main step when you want the page to become bookable and discoverable. Pro adds stronger proof and workflow tools on top.
Bookings
How do booking requests work?
Requests are sent from the public artist page and delivered through Deckbook’s booking flow, so the enquiry keeps the artist context, page proof, and buyer intent together.
Bookings
What happens after a booking request is sent?
The artist or team can reply, clarify details, and continue the conversation from the same thread. Depending on the workflow in use, that thread can stay as an enquiry or move into a more structured deal flow.
Payments
Does Deckbook handle booking payments too?
Deckbook can support payment collection and booking-payment timelines in the booking workflow where that setup is enabled. Not every public enquiry turns into an in-platform payment flow automatically.
Payments
How do payouts and payment timing work?
Where the payment flow is enabled, the accepted booking can show a clear payment timeline, next step, and payout timing. Artist payout timing depends on the accepted terms, payment status, and any event-confirmation steps shown in the booking summary.
Payments
Who processes subscription payments and booking payments?
Deckbook uses Stripe for subscriptions and for payment infrastructure in enabled booking flows. Deckbook may store limited billing and transaction status data, but payment-card handling stays with the payment provider.
Getting started
Can I browse first and create later?
Yes. The marketplace is open up front, and you can create your own page when you are ready to publish something booking-ready.
